Fall North American Championships Winners

In the given auction, West, Sam Dinkin of Austin, Tex., had been planning to bid four no-trump over four spades to show four hearts and longer diamonds. Cenk Tuncok of Amesbury, Mass., doubled North's four-diamond cue-bid, West sacrificed in five diamonds. At this point, to get the par result, North-South had to double and collect 500, taking one spade, two hearts and a heart ruff. When North went on to five spades, West led his singleton club ace.
