Cardinals Glide to Win on Their Way to A.C.C.

The future of the conference is more closely aligned with the fortunes of Temple, South Florida and Connecticut, all winless entering the weekend. Louisville, which beat Temple, 30-7, on Saturday, will be moving to the Atlantic Coast Conference and Rutgers to the Big Ten. What is left in the A.A.C., formerly the Big East Conference, is a hodgepodge of spillovers from a variety of other leagues, like Conference USA and the Mid-American Conference, with teams crossing the country to face opponents who were hardly on their radar. Entering Saturday, the conference was a collective 19-20, with a strength of schedule ranked seventh in the nation, below the Mid-American and barely ahead of Conference USA, according to the Web site RealTimeRPI.com.
